Associate / Associate Director – Geoenvironmental Consultant: Superb opportunity at a Large, Multi-disciplinary Consultancy. This role is based in Guildford.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership

Assist in the development and execution of short- and long-term business plans and strategies for key programs within the brownfield land team.

Liaising with the Brownfield land discipline Technical Director in setting and agreeing appropriate local team structures / shapes / skills sets.

Exhibiting and demonstrating behaviours and attitudes in accordance with the company’s core values.

Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, understanding their needs and tailoring solutions accordingly to foster business opportunities.

Working in partnership with other colleagues and business units to ensure coordination and sharing of market intelligence, identification and pursuit of opportunities.

Driving business development by being embedded within local networks of decision makers and establishing lasting relationships.

Winning work from key accounts and collaborating with other business units across the company to secure an increasing order book.

Leading and supporting in the development of compelling bids by contributing, reviewing and authorising submissions and by demonstrating added value both commercially and technically.
Project Oversight

Acting as Project Manager for major projects and strategically important commissions.

Driving commercial excellence, ensuring that bids and proposals are completed in line with company procedures and delivering projects to budget.

Have a strong understanding of CDM and health and safety regulations setting an example for Health Safety and Welfare on your projects and instilling a strong safety culture within the delivery team.

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, environmental specialists and project managers, to ensure successful project outcomes.
Key Attributes
-
Minimum of 10 years’ relevant consultancy background
-
Preferably chartered.

Excellent inter-personal skills with good leadership and management abilities capable of communicating effectively with all parts of the business and relevant internal and external stakeholders.

Strong commercial and strategic capability with a demonstrable track record in having identified and subsequently delivered new business opportunities.

Extensive knowledge of geo-environmental and geotechnical works including contaminated land assessments, earthworks, soil and groundwater remediation, materials management and the planning process with respect to site investigation works.

Detailed industry knowledge and in-depth understanding of sector trends, challenges, and innovations.

Expert stakeholder and client relationship management skills.

An established network of clients and contacts.

Forward thinking, capable of visualising and planning for the longer term.

Influential and persuasive internally and externally.

Salary £75,000 – £90,000
