Overview
Our client is an award-winning multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy with a reputation for innovative and sustainable design, providing services to the education, health, commercial, residential, leisure, regeneration and masterplanning sectors.
You will be joining a team of friendly and experienced geotechnical engineers at their London office, where they are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic geotechnical engineer at project engineer level who is keen to display and develop their expertise in geotechnical design and evaluation.

Requirements

A degree in civil engineering, geology and/or engineering geology with a focus on geotechnical engineering modules.

Ideally working towards Chartered status.

Minimum 3 years’ relevant industry background

Background within an engineering consultancy, and with people and project management skills commensurate with the role

Proven background of the design of civil engineering, geotechnical structures, the use of associated software and thorough knowledge of geotechnical design standards are essential.

Demonstrable track-record in the design and management of ground investigations, the preparation of thorough interpretive geotechnical assessments, geotechnical design and modelling

Must be able to take the geotechnical lead on projects

Able to manage work independently whilst providing the necessary tools, support and mentoring

Strong interpretive report writing and geotechnical analysis skills

Track-record in the provision of geotechnical advice to clients and colleagues.

Background in the use of geotechnical software such as Plaxis, Wallap, Oasys suite (PDisp, XDisp, Alp) etc.

The ability to work and communicate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

A commercial and client focused approach

A UK driving licence.
